Verne® Certifications

The Verne® Certification Framework is founded on established understanding of knowledge, skills and competence.

Courses and activities in different areas of specialisation are organised in four levels of certification. The Associate and Specialist levels are a guided introduction to the knowledge and skills expected to be mastered by an individual in their first year of working with Verne®. The Professional and Expert levels focus more on evaluating competence in the workplace.

Find out more about the requirements and expectations for each of the levels below.

Verne® Associate
Verne® Specialist
Verne® Professional
Verne® Expert

Verne® Associate

At the Associate level, you will undertake a number of self-paced courses on Verne® Academy. Depending on the area of specialisation you are are following, the number of courses will vary but typically will be at most two or three courses.

Each course introduces you to key concepts assocaited with your area of specialisation and uses a serious of review quizzes and a final test to determine that you have mastered these concepts.

Once you have completed all the courses, you can enrol in the certification exam which will test you on all of the content that you have covered.

Verne® Specialist

The Specialist level courses extend the knowledge and skills you gained in your Associate level courses, and uses similar approaches to deliver content and evaluate your acheivement.

Verne® Professional

At the Professional level, you will be presented with a number of complex worked examples and case studies that need to be completed prior to the completion of the certification exam.

Verne® Expert

The Expert level certification is the highest level of award offered in the framework, and recognises your sustained contribution working with Verne®. At this level, you will be guided through the development of a portfolio that outlines the work that you have done with Verne® which will be submitted to a panel of experts to review and confirm that you have fully mastered the appropriate knowledge, skills and competence.

A certification remains valid for two years from the date the certificate is issues. A recertification package provides an individual with access to all the courses, an update course that highlights new features, and the certification exam. When an individual progresses to a higher certification, they’d need only re-certify at that new level and the time period for recertification is reset.
